The Kuwait Sports Federation was established in 1952 known as “the Kuwait Football Association” in 1957. This association was re-publicized by Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor under No. 59/1979 on 10 December 1979 in accordance with the provisions of Decree-Law No. 42 of 1978 regarding sports authorities The Association was reinstated under No. 187 of 97 on 6/5/1997 according to the new exemplary system for sports federations issued by the General Authority for Youth and Sports.
